Stained Glass Windows
I’ve loved stained glass windows for a while. The designs and however window, even though they have the same design, aren’t the same. They seem to only be in older buildings and I love the history of older buildings. Maybe that plays into me liking them. The only stained glass windows I have access to are the ones that my parents pastor at. I’m grateful to be able to find ways to photograph them.
Since places I normally go to photograph are either closed or are crowded with people that it’s hard to photograph and be safe. I’ve been photographed in this church more then I thought I would when the shelter in place started happening. To be honest it wasn’t even on my radar and I didn’t even think to ask my parents if I could have access to it.
It’s been a fun challenge to figure out how to photograph the stained glass windows and do them justice. The first time I went I got shots that I was proud of and that is what gave me the idea to do more. Once I got the first days on my computer and started editing there were a couple of that I had the though that they would be great if only this one thing was done differently. Thankfully I still had the keys so I went several more times to get the desired shots and I will most likely be back to do more. As soon as the shelter in place is over and done I will find other places to photograph with stained glass windows. Do you know any places that I should go photograph? Drop them down in the comments below.
