New Favorite Photos

Late last month I went to the Lincoln Park Zoo and got this photo of a young penguin swimming down in it’s exhibit. I put it in black and white I put because it helps put the focus on the penguin. I love how sharp the photo is and how it tell the story of the penguin. I love how few bubbles the penguin creates. Penguins are one of my favorite animals because I find them cute and they have fun personalities. It was fun watching the penguin play in the water in the exhibit and I got a couple of good shots but this is beyond my favorite.
I also got a shot of a baby gorilla in is it’s mom’s arms. I put this one in black and white because in the indoor exhibit for the gorillas the light is hard for me to photograph in. Putting it in black and white it helps takes away from a little bit from the graininess and the lighting I couldn’t fix in post processing. I love how the baby gorilla is looking right at the camera and you can spot the mom smiling. The baby is less than a year old so they are staying close by mom.
