Editing Magic: Purple Flowers

I decided that if I could paint that flower in a huge scale, you could not ignore its beauty.
— Georgia O'Keeffe

I took this shot at Cantigny Park in the fall of this year and I love photographing there. I love the framing of this photo because it has the one flower as the focal point but you can see the other flowers and buds. The dullness of color in the original photo is something that I didn’t like when I got on my computer and I knew I was going to change. I added dehaze, darkened the exposure, added contrast, darkened the shadows and adjusted the clarity. I then started changing the saturation of the colors. I adjusted was the pink, purple, dark blue, green, yellow, orange, and red. I love how the flowers pop from the background. It’s over all a simple photo which I love.
