A Photo a Week
“Twelve significant photographs in any one year is a good crop.”
There is this website called 52 Frames that has different photo challenges every week. At the end of the year you will have 52 photos. I started doing this last year but only got about two months in before getting out of the rhythm of doing it. I had a busy couple of weeks at school and lost track of my week to do the photos. This year I’m also working and finishing up school so I’m going to have to figure out each week to make sure I do it. Nothing will happen if I don’t do it but I want to be challenged and grow as a photographer. Doing these challenges will help with the growth I want. The first week was doing self-portraits and it’s something I’ve been doing more often the last two years or so. I wanted to do something different than I normally do and doing it from home isn’t something I hadn’t done since lockdown in 2020. I tried doing a couple of different shots but I liked the close-ups the best. I like my hair and expression the best in this one. I also like that I’m looking straight into the camera. Here is to get through the entire year. If I’m able to do so I'm planning on making a book of all the photos.
