Happy Place
“The time to be happy is now, and the place to be happy is here.”
My family has a lake house in Michigan. My parents were going up so I decided to go up on my day off. My day off was on Thursday so I drove up on Wednesday after work and then drove back early Friday morning before work. I had the place to myself for a bit and I got time with my parents and I got to go out the kayak twice. It was in the low 60’s and a little windy but it was nice to be in the quiet and out in nature. There is a swan couple that lives on the lake and they are usually don’t hang around our side of the lake and I think that is because there is more action and they can’t have peace on our side of the lake. I was able to get a couple of good shots of them when they decided to visit us. It makes me long for summer and I’m excited to spend more time up in my happy place.
