Illumination 2019
I have come a long way since 2013 when I visted Illumination for the first time. I had my first dslr camera which was a Canon T3i and the lens that comes with it. When I look at my photos from then I just think about I'm not even the same person I was back then. I think it shows in my photography. I wanted to do photos as a proffesional and now.
The Morton Aboretum has changed up the show and the path you take to get around. I wasn't expecting the change up but I enjoyed it. There was a part where you walking on a path that was illuminated with words on it. I was challinging myself to just shoot with an 85mm which made it hard to get the sayings on the ground because it creates a tight shot. I'm planing on going to go agian with friend so it will use a different lens to get a shot.
Thankfully the night I went wasn't super cold so hanging out and photographing for a while didn't make me freeze. I did go on a Friday night though so there was a bunch a people. If I had thought about it I would have gone on a week night to enjoy a bit more. I'm not a huge fan of crowds, especially when I'm trying to photogaph. People seem to be enjoying themselves which was very nice to see.
